After much anticipation, Ferris unveiled its newest species of mower. Called the Evolution, it is a new compact zero-turn (CZT) mower in a category all its own. Featuring Ferris’ exclusive, patented suspension technology, this mower places the operator in the most ideal ergonomic position for mowing.

“The Evolution is going to take the Ferris line to a whole new level,” says Bill Shea, Vice President of Sales & Marketing Commercial Products for the Briggs & Stratton Yard Power Products Group. “We invented and patented suspension technology, and now we’ve integrated that technology into our own compact zero-turn design to make this mower the ultimate in performance and ergonomics.”

When Size Matters

- With its overall compact low stance, the Evolution provides the operator with excellent visibility and allows for mowing in tight places or highly landscaped areas.

- The footprint of the Evolution is smaller than a commercial walk-behind of similar deck width.

The Nitty Gritty

Powered by a 19-hp Kawasaki KAI engine, the Evolution has individual Hydro-Gear pumps and wheel motors for improved performance and less downtime. Available in 36” and 48” cutting widths, a hand-operated deck lift provides the operator with variable cutting heights from 1.5” to 4.5”. The mower deck features overlap welded corners, double thick top and double reinforced side skirts.
